Gathering, making & telling stories at Tapton Lock Festival
We were thrilled to be invited by Junction Arts to bring storytelling to their Tapton Lock Festival for the first time. Over the weekend of 11/12 September, three brilliant storytellers, Rachel Murray, Pyn Stockman and Nell Phoenix were at the canal side gathering, making, telling and sharing stories with the festival's visitors.
After the event was cancelled during the lockdown in 2020, this year turned out to be the busiest Tapton Lock Festival to date with 1500 visitors over 2 days. Junction Arts shared some of the feedback they received with us, and the storytellers went down brilliantly well with the crowds, with their tales of woodlands, water and the many creatures you might find by the canal.
And now, we can't wait for the 10th Tapton Lock Festival in 2022!
