Call out for your Derbyshire Moon Stories

Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon is going to be showing at Derby Catherdral as part of this year’s Derby Festé, and we’re going to be there on Sat 28 September ready to collect your memories!

For our National Lottery Heritage Fund Moon Stories project, our team of young people in care and care leavers are recording over 40 Derbyshire people’s stories and memories of watching the first human walk on the Moon in 1969. The results will form an archive to be kept at the Derbyshire Records Office and used as inspiration to create new art.

We’re looking for Derbyshire residents to share their Moon stories and memories and we thought, what better setting to use as inspiration than Museum of the Moon?

We will be allocating time slots throughout the day on Sat 28 September, between 10.30am and 3pm and each session will last for around 30 minutes.
