Wendy Johnson
Wendy Johnson is a freelance Creative Mentor and project coordinator for Derbyshire Virtual School. Wendy has many years of experience working within the cultural sector and education. She studied ceramics and ran her own ceramics business, initially as an Artist In Resident in a Nottingham College.
Wendy worked as a Creative Agent and Creative Practitioner for many years with Creative Partnerships working with schools to embed creativity in their curriculum. Wendy volunteered with Wirksworth Festival and later covered the Wirksworth Festival Manager role.
Wendy became a Creative Mentor for Derbyshire Virtual School about 11 years ago and has played a part in developing the role. Wendy is currently working with TMC to support the development of the Creative Mentoring role regionally specifically around training.
Wendy has supported other Cultural organisations such as Derbyshire Records Office on their 'Amazing Pop Up Archives' project and Adverse Camber projects 'Stars And Stories and 'Moments In Time'.
