Debi Hedderwick

Debi Hedderwick is a dance artist, facilitator and mentor working in well-being, education and the community. She uses creative and contemporary movement to inspire, include and innovate for health, learning, understanding, creativity and connection. Debi works particularly with children and young people, especially those with additional and complex needs, and young asylum seekers and refugees. Debi directs Learning Through Arts, an independent participatory arts organisation; through this framework she initiated Culture Cafe, a monthly event for young refugees and their carers to come together to share food, ideas, arts activities of all sorts, through this building confidence, support networks and friendships.
