Jan Blake's work in progress at Lakeside Arts

On Wed 27 October, Jan Blake will be at Lakeside Arts in Nottingham with digital artist, Gary Stewart, and a local choir group, to try out different ideas, technologies and ways of interacting with audiences to forge an exciting new path for Digital Storytelling!

And you can have a front row seat for this exciting journey - join world-leading storyteller, Jan Blake for a tale like no other, the powerful story of Exile, Magic and Power – told by griots across West Africa but rarely heard in the UK – about the legendary 13th Century Malian King Sundiata Keita.

This is your chance to be part of this unique 'work in progress' experience as it unfolds, for a 30 minute performance of story and song followed by a Q&A with Jan Blake. Book your tickets on a pay what you can basis here.

Commissioned and produced by Adverse Camber, this event is part of the University of Nottingham's Black History Month activities.
